I see interior design as the ability to transform a room, home or office into an area that welcomes you and displays your personality. It should give insight into the person it belongs to and it should serve its purpose well. My goal is to have you love this area and make others want to come in and stay. I feel everyone should be proud of the areas that they spend most of their time in and love to be there no matter the affordability.
It begins with decluttering and placing furniture or artwork where it fits best. From there, we choose the ideal paint colors and layer in accents—like decor, pillows, and rugs—that add warmth and personality while flowing with the surroundings. I love to bring the outdoors in; there truly is no better palette than the one offered here in the Lowcountry. Every window showcases a world with whites, tans, golds, blushes, corals, blues and greens. The key is to know the hues in the colors you are choosing and which ones work well together in all types of lighting. If you are looking at exterior colors you should be looking at neutrals that will make the color remain vibrant and rich.

I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky where I worked in the home building and real estate industry for nearly 20 years. I relocated with my husband and 2 daughters to Charleston in 2008. I currently reside on James Island where I spend time with my family and 2 shih tzus, Goose and Gibbs. Besides interior design I am a volunteer horse leader and current board member for Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding on Johns Island.
